New Conference Name…Same Awesome Location…Better Learning and Networking
Need a quick business data management pick-me-up? Want to hone your BI360 skills or even become your organization’s next BI360 guru? Then you’ve got to come to Ascend 2019, August 19-22 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach. It is Solver’s reimagined annual BI360 partner and user conference, taking the place of Focus, Solver’s previously successful event.
You might be asking why the change? For one thing, Solver views Ascend 2019 as the next step in your professional journey to career and business growth. With that in mind, Solver reached out to its BI360 community to find power users from different industries and walks of life to explain how they best leverage BI360 to ensure their organization’s success…and ultimately their own. And they will be at Ascend to share lessons learned, best practices and tips to help you do the same.
Don’t worry though. Much like its conference predecessor Focus, Ascend will continue to offer highly effective learning opportunities you’ve come to expect from past Solver events. You will find:
Intensive training through two-day, skill level-based courses held Monday and Tuesday of the event.
Self-guided hands-on sessions and tech support to help you hone your BI360 skills or to troubleshoot problems.
Presenter-led hands-on sessions to walk you through various work-saving hacks and tasks.
Up to 35.7 CPE credits available throughout the 4-day conference.
But Ascend doesn’t stop at sharing valuable tips and insights on corporate performance management tools. It also offers opportunities to meet and greet fellow BI360 users, network with technology professionals, and enjoy local flavors, coastal weather, and even relax in one of California’s most iconic beach towns, colorfully coined Surf City USA. And this year, you’ll also be inspired by global celebrity Misty May-Treanor, three-time Olympic gold medalist and most decorated beach volleyball athlete of all time, as she answers questions during Ascend’s Thursday keynote.
Here’s what else could be in store for you.
Monday jump starts the event for those who want two days of hands-on intensive training on budgeting, reporting, Power BI and more. Class attendees will have chosen the two day-long sessions they plan to attend based on experience and skill level. And by the end of your time, you’ll become a close-knit group of friends who can offer support once you return to your organizations.
Tuesday is the pivotal day where the intensive two-day training classes and Partner-focused event wind down, while the customer conference kicks off. Solver will host an outdoor Welcome Reception with wine, beer and hors d’oeuvres so everyone can enjoy a beautiful California sunset, meet new people, and reconnect with friends. And rumor has it that fresh poke bowls might make an appearance on the menu again this year!
Start Wednesday off by catching stray sea breezes and views of the sand and water as you dine outdoors for breakfast and lunch. And to foster a continued BI360 community spirit, you can network with fellow attendees that use the same ERP systems or work in the same industry while you dine. Once done with your sessions, take some time to burn off some energy and participate in one of the two fun activities Ascend has put together: yoga on the beach or beach volleyball. Not your cup of tea? One can always relax by the pool or at the beach; enjoy a drink at Pete’s Sunset Grille, rent a bike through Toes on the Nose Surf and Bike shop, shop just down the street at Pacific City mall or book some me time in Pacific Waters Spa.
That evening be sure to join Solver and other event attendees at Solver’s BI360 Awards banquet. You will enjoy a California-style meal with colleagues before you go to the Awards ceremony to help celebrate eight of your fellow attendees as they are announced as this year’s BI360 Award recipients. And if you want to be one of those winners, enter your nomination by July 12 for consideration. Immediately following the announcement, enjoy the renowned music of Journey as one of Journey’s popular cover bands, Escape. The band puts on a concert for event-goers to round out the evening’s festivities.
As Thursday rolls around, the final day of the event, you’ll have one last chance to enjoy breakfast outdoors, and take in the lovely beach weather, before heading in to hear from Misty May-Treanor, a Southern California local who just happens to be a world-class athlete with a few Olympic beach volleyball medals under her belt along with several high school and collegiate titles. Then take advantage of the final two sets of highly informative sessions before bidding a fond farewell to friends new and old, and making plans to return and see them again at Ascend 2020, August 24 – 27, 2020 at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort and Spa.
Ascend 2019 is shaping up to be a great conference to attend, and I hope to see you there. And if you need just a little more incentive to register, I hear that the early bird discount price is still available until June 30. What’s more, you can take advantage of multi-person discounts if you register two or more co-workers.
